DAY 1 | KAJAANI

Arrival to Kajaani, transfer to your accommodation in Vuokatti.

DAY 2 | HUSKY SAFARI (3 km)

Step into the mesmerizing Finnish wilderness and let the Husky Center be your gateway to an unforgettable adventure! Picture this: a thrilling 3 km husky sled ride through the stunning Vuokatti landscape. Embrace the snow-draped fields and serene forests as our expert guide navigates, leaving you free to soak in the experience. After the ride, relish Finnish berry juice and delectable biscuits while bonding with our huskies, snapping photos, and learning about their incredible lives. It’s a 1-hour escapade that ensures a lifelong memory. Join us and immerse yourself in the magical world of husky sledding!

DAY 3 | SNOWMOBILE SAFARI (20 km)

This safari offers a calm and enjoyable way to experience the winter scenery of Vuokatti. It is suitable for beginners and first-time snowmobile drivers, with a focus on safety, comfort, and guided riding.

Transfer to the Safari Center for introduction, safety instructions, and gearing up.

Enjoy amazing winter scenery on a snowmobile safari! Your local guide will lead the way as the group drives safely into a true winter wonderland by snowmobiles. This safari is operated with new Touring model snowmobiles – thanks to new technology, they are safer and more environmentally friendly, producing lower emissions.

On the way back, a break is included to enjoy hot drinks and sweet snacks. This activity is also well suited for beginners.

The route length is about 20 km and the duration of the excursion is 2.5–3 hours including transfers.

You can head to the ski slopes or try other activities for the rest of the day.

DAY 4 | SNOWSHOE ADVENTURE

Snowshoe adventure is the perfect way to explore Vuokatti’s winter landscape authentically. The activity begins with an introduction on how to use snowshoes. Then your local guide leads the group into the snowy forest, where you can enjoy stunning winter scenery.

You will hear interesting stories about the history and nature of the Vuokatti area. Along the way, a relaxing break is included with hot drinks.

The route length is about 2 km. Perfect for families and groups. Duration of the excursion is about 2.5 hours including transfers.

DAY 5 | ICE FISHING ON A FROZEN LAKE

Start at our Safari Center where warm safari outfits will be put on. Then enjoy a short transfer through the forest to the frozen lake by sleigh pulled by a snowmobile. Our experienced fishing guide will lead you to his best fishing spots. You start by drilling a hole in the ice – this is already a fun experience – and after that you can start fishing.

The fish native to this area are perch, pike, and pike perch – hopefully you catch some! You will change your fishing spot several times during this excursion. Hot drinks included.
