Riekko Lodgeis located on a scenic hillside plot along the river Äkäsjoki, about 4 km north of the Äkäslompolo village in Ylläs.
The Northern Lights in Lapland are visible from late August to mid-April, when the weather is clear and solar activity is favorable. Light pollution is therefore the main cause of the absence of all the magic of nature.

Nestled among Arctic pines on a gentle slope, our 28 standalone villas blend modern design with the quiet beauty of nature. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame calming views of the fells and forests of Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park.
Inside, clean lines and natural materials create a warm, welcoming retreat. After a day outdoors, unwind in your private sauna or relax in the spacious living area as the forest light shifts outside. More than accommodation, it’s an experience of peace and connection to Lapland’s wild beauty.

The resort is located near Äkäslompolo village, but in very peace full and wit hold forest. The views are just woods and nearby fells. Äkäsjoki river is flowing next to the plot, downhill.
Kukas 1 and Äkäs1 –villas are located on higher ground than Kukas 2 and Äkäs2 –villas, and the other villas are visible from them.
Kukas 2 and Äkäs2 –villas have private views.
Restaurant
Bistrot Riekko
This restaurant offers a unique experience, and the guest is expected to experience the visit with all senses. The space seats around 100 customers and is open to all.
Guests are offered a comprehensive breakfast, lunch and dinner, prepared with high quality, ethically produced local ingredients.
The restaurant also has a lounge, serving coffee, wine, cocktails and local beers.
The Willow Grouse WakeUp – Breakfast
The Willow Grouse WakeUp–breakfast is the unique and most interesting breakfast/brunch in the area, for which we are known. This gourmet’s dream and health-conscious choice offers the perfect start to a day where well-being and enjoyment go hand in hand. The breakfast is also open to outside guests, attracting cottage owners and occasional visitors to the area to enjoy a special breakfast experience.
