LUNCH SAFARI TO HAAPALA one time

Have an unforgettable winter activity day on a snowmobiling safari led by experienced local guides. This snowmobile safari showcases the very best of the region for snowmobiling. The route goes up to the Vuokatti hills, then continues along beautiful forest trails covered in deep snow, and finally across stunning frozen lake trails.

The halfway stop is Haapala BnB, where a lunch is served. The meal includes salad, soup, main course, and dessert.

The safari is operated with new Touring model snowmobiles, which are quiet, environmentally friendly, and provide a comfortable modern ride for both driver and passenger.

The route length is about 50 km.

DAY OFF or OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES twice

This day is flexible and offers a range of optional activities. For example, guests can enjoy the ski slopes, go cross-country skiing, rent an e-fatbike, try ice swimming, or spend the day at Katinkulta Spa or Superpark. Alternatively, simply enjoy the surrounding nature at your own pace – there is something for everyone. Assistance with activity bookings is available if needed.

ICE FISHING ON A FROZEN LAKE one time

Start at our Safari Center where warm safari outfits will be put on. Then enjoy a short transfer through the forest to the frozen lake by sleigh pulled by a snowmobile. Our experienced fishing guide will lead you to his best fishing spots. You start by drilling a hole in the ice – this is already a fun experience – and after that you can start fishing.

The fish native to this area are perch, pike, and pike perch – hopefully you catch some! You will change your fishing spot several times during this excursion. Hot drinks included.

MAGIC OF THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ON SNOWSHOES one time

When the the nature is covered by the dusk it’s time to go hunting the magical Northern Lights!

This exciting showshoe adventure is the perfect way to explore winter landscape authentically and with a bit of luck you might see the amazing show of Aurora Borealis.

The activity begins with an introduction on how to use snowshoes. The group then heads safely into the forest, led by an experienced local guide. The deeper the excursion goes, the more impressive the night scenery becomes.

Enjoy the peaceful snowy forest and tranquil nature while listening to stories about the surrounding environment. Along the way, a break by an open fire is included, with hot drinks and snacks.

The route length is approximately 2 km, and the duration of the excursion, including transfers, is about 2.5 hours.
